The team at RBM Drainage have been hard at work on new sewer rehabilitation works on the Merrie Creek sewer network in Preston and Coburg. We were awarded this contract from JBH & KBR on behalf of Melbourne Water late last year.
These photos are of the end of tunnel excavation and show the moment of break through to the upstream manhole. See more of this project in our Current Projects Gallery.

Tunnel for John Holland Merri Creek Sewer Main Rehabilitation
Current Sewer is on the verge of collapse
RBM Plumbing & Drainage have been engaged by JBH & KBR Joint Venture to carry out early works program to repair Merri Creek Sewer Main.
First part of works require the lowering of 525dia concrete relieving main between the Merri Creek Main and the Merri Creek Relieving Main by approximately 1 meter. This requires excavation of Tunnel by hand from existing 1500dia reinforced Manhole Wall approximately 1.5meters thick, removal of existing concrete pipe. Including the installation of Tunnel Support System 16 meters in length.

RBM Drainage have been hard at work undertaking new sewer rehabilitation works on the Merrie Creek network in Preston and Coburg. We were awarded this contract from JBH & KBR on behalf of Melbourne Water late last year.
The upgrade will improve the sewer network and protect public health and safety by reducing pressure on the existing system to prevent potential sewer collapses upstream, reduce sewer spills in extreme wet weather and reduce system blockages.

RBM is excited to announce that we are launching a new Lateral Lining System in September 2013.
The Performance Liner Lateral System is a unique cured in-place process that allows the installer the freedom to position the liner anywhere in the pipe by inverting through an inspection shaft/boundary trap.
